The design work presented below reflects projects where I have played a key role in designing, overseeing, advising, and collaborating with other designers both internally and externally.
While the execution of these designs involved contributions from multiple individuals, I’ve had the pleasure of providing strategic direction and management throughout the process.
Corporate workspace
2024
Furniture Budget: $350k
7,725 SQ FT
Timeline: 6 months (Concept to Install)

Conditions of Success
Create a space with a User First Mindset; maximize windows, equitable stations, sense of belonging, place, and security for members and visitors.
Integrate informal meeting and collaboration zones for small and large groups, with tech and whiteboard enabled spaces.
Progressive design showcasing mixed materials, low panel heights, and laying materials for visual interest and privacy. Most importantly, a kit of parts strategy for easy Day 2 adds and facilities management.
Involvement
Leadership: Lead designer overseeing and guiding two design interns on a 7,000 square foot workspace refresh. Led all aspects of the design process from programming and conceptual design through being onsite for installation.
Supported design interns in presentations and material selection.

Conditions of Success
Create a space that facilitates logistics of customer visits and is suitable for hosting medium to large groups.
Create a space that serves employees both for focus and collaboration.
Provide a floor plate design that showcases visual brand language for the sales team to tell key stories about product during tours.
Involvement
Design: Interviews with employees to understand use case and existing pain points. Calculate minimum seating needs, on-site observation study of wayfinding, circulation, and utilization.
Color palette collaboration, iterate on product mix and applications, and provide technical expertise on power accessories.
Leadership: Develop workbook standard for campus projects and presentation format for leadership review and sign-off. Lead presenter at Schematic Design, and Design Development phases.
Final review of installation drawings and BOM order.

Conditions of Success
Bring to life thoughtful and creatively designed education applications in a 3D virtual school.
Showcase a blend of products designed for success in the education sector, with appropriately sized furniture for different ages ranging from K-12 grade.
Virtual school should be designed with studies on color, psychological and social needs, and education specific trends.
Direct Involvement
Design: focus on space planning, circulation, technical specification of product.
Leadership: time management, cross-functional team coordination, research review, provide feedback to rendering partner.

Conditions of Success
Create a winning response to open bid RFP for a Financial Tech company relocating their headquarters to Atlanta, GA.
Incorporate complex electrical requirements, custom brand color, and mixed material elements of design.
Successfully complete each phase of design on time and on budget.
Direct Involvement
Sole furniture designer who owned the design work for an awarded large multi-floor RFP. Completed the design work for Mock-ups and full floor installation plans. Collaborated with a dealer seller and Architect firm throughout the process as a small team of 3.
Managed coordination between internal product teams, custom product team, and external parties to meet and exceed high expectations of the client.
